Casey Orr

Casey Orr is best known as a founding member and

bass player of Texas Speed Metal pioneers, Rigor

Mortis (now known as Wizards Of Gore), as well as

for his lengthy stint as Beefcake The Mighty of shock

rock legends, GWAR (’94-’10), with whom he was

nominated for a Grammy for Best Metal

Performance 1995. In addition, he has performed

and/or recorded with numerous influential bands,

including Ministry, The Burden Brothers, The

Hellions, Warbeast, XCOPS, Speedealer, Billyclub,

Blohole, and The Skatenigs.

Orr’s lifelong passion for horror and fantasy art has

led him into the world of painting. What started as a

hobby has now become an obsession. Finding an

encouraging audience for his paintings with his fan

base and friends, Casey has become increasingly

more serious about his art, having created and sold

close to 200 pieces since 2010.

Heavily inspired by all things horror, sci-fi, and

fantastic, Orr is a big fan of the works of Frazetta,

Wrightson, Gogos, Brom, Kirby, and Buscema, as

well as the great Pulp artists like Saunders, de Soto,

and Rosen, just to name a few. Casey also must

acknowledge the invaluable inspiration that comes

from his time spent with the artists of GWAR - Dave

Brockie, Hunter Jackson, Chuck Varga, Matt

Maguire, and Bob Gorman. During his time with

GWAR, he had hands on experience working with

soft sculpture and prop building, as well as concept,

design, and gore effects. It never washes off.
